We Are Hiring for the 2023 season

Mossbrook Landscaping is looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our landscaping

crew. At Mossbrook, we professionally deliver high quality outdoor living spaces uniquely created for

each client. As a crew member, you will execute all the necessary steps to fulfill what it takes to create a

beautiful landscape while being rewarded from applying your knowledge and workmanship.


Responsibilities

Lawn and garden bed clean ups utilizing back pack leaf blowers, rakes, pruning tools.

Annual and monthly maintenance including fresh edging, weeding, mulching, trimming, and select

pruning.

Build new landscapes including excavating, grading, building with the proper materials, edging (natural,

aluminum, and edge stone), planting of perennials, shrubs, and trees up to 14’ / 3.5” caliper, mulching,

installation of decorative stone, position irrigation systems, install outdoor lighting, and more.

Perform machine and tool maintenance – basic upkeep of machinery, trucks, and tools.

Reliable to load trucks with the necessary materials, tools, and equipment on a daily basis.

Must be flexible to jump on both landscape and hardscape crews as needed.


Skills

Knowledgeable about plants – identification, plant spacing, plant requirements

Successfully accomplishes tasks in a timely manner

Able to follow instructions

Capable of using small equipment and tools diligently – back pack leaf blower, edging machine, grinding

wheel, hedge trimmers, wheel barrows, shovels, etc.

Able to skillfully trim evergreen shrubs and trees

Ability to problem solve

Demonstrates strong verbal communication

Capable of operating skid steer, excavator, front end loader


Qualifications

Self-motivated, team player, hard work ethic, attentive to detail, able to visualize and create with and

without a designed plan, interest in plants, understands grade, enjoys being outside every day, willing to

train and enhance knowledge in assigned duties, working knowledge of horticulture


Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent qualification

Minimum of 2 years’ experience of landscaping, hardscaping, horticulture related field, or

groundskeeping role

Good stamina and physical health

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Able to persevere work tasks through various weather conditions

Ability to operate machinery (skid steer, excavator, front end loader) is a plus but not required

Comfortable driving pickup trucks, single axle dump trucks, and able to pull trailers

Salary and Hours


Full time Seasonal position – April through November, may be extended depending on weather

Saturdays and overtime available

Winter snow removal work available

$15.00 - $18.00 / hour – commensurate with experience

Paid time off available
